ACCESSIBILITY

An "accessible website" makes the contents and the software resources usable to people with a reduced or limited sensorial, physical or psychological capacity but also to people not affected by pathologies.

There are standards and guide lines which define what accessibility really is. The best-known guide lines internationally speaking as regards the web are WCAG, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines of WAI, Web Accessibility Initiative (section of W3C - World Wide Web Consortium).

An accessible website is compatible with the majority of web browsers, independently from the producer, the version or the operative system; moreover it allows its consultation by "screenreader" softwares, specific for hyposighted or blind people.

This website has been completely developed using XHTML standard for the drafting of the informative contents and the CSS technology used for the presentation of the contents, according to the W3C - World Wide Web Consortium directions.
